Find a quiet spot where you will not be disturbed. A room with the door shut, a garden, anywhere calm.

Sit or lie down with a straight back and relaxed shoulders. If lying down, tuck a pillow under your knees.

Start by breathing normally, just noticing the natural rhythm. Close your eyes if it helps you settle.

Now breathe with a count: in through the nose for four, hold for four, out through the mouth for six. Repeat the cycle for ten minutes.

When you finish, stay still for one more minute and set a calm intention for the rest of your day.
